Position OverviewThe DevOps Engineer is a vital member of the software development and IT operations teams, responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining efficient development, deployment, and operational practices to ensure seamless and reliable software delivery. The DevOps Engineer collaborates with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to streamline the software development lifecycle and improve the overall system infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
• Design, implement, and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines to enable frequent and reliable software releases
• Integrate various development and testing tools to automate the software delivery process
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure resources in a consistent and reproducible manner
• Ensure scalability, high availability, and security of infrastructure components
• Monitoring and Logging:
• Set up and maintain monitoring and logging systems to track the performance and health of applications and infrastructure
• Proactively respond to system alerts and troubleshoot incidents to ensure maximum uptime
• Cloud Services Management:
• Manage cloud-based services and environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to optimize cost and performance
• Leverage cloud services to facilitate efficient scaling and resilience of applications
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements, release schedules, and infrastructure needs
• Act as a liaison between development and operations teams, fostering a culture of communication and collaboration
• Security and Compliance:
• Implement security best practices to safeguard software and infrastructure against potential threats
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
• Automation and Optimization:
• Identify manual processes and tasks and automate them to enhance efficiency and reduce human errors
• Continuously optimize infrastructure and applications for better performance and resource utilization
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity in case of system failures or disasters

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and practices
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and automation tools
• Experience with CI/CD tools
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Sound understanding of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools and techniques
• Expertise in system administration and configuration management
• Good Linux and system administration skills
• Understanding of network protocols and security best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Is fluent in English, both written and spoken
