Regatta is based in Binyamina (right next to the train station) and is well-funded by some of the world's leading VC firms. The roleRegatta develops a distributed database from scratch. The database among others includes a rich unified data model. We are looking for a SQL Architect to join the company. The role includes the definition of the exact SQL language approach, including relevant extensions to the language. The SQL Architect works in tight cooperation with the various engineering teams that develop the core product capabilities. The role requires the candidate to work as an architect and as an individual contributor, and to do hands-on work. Naturally, the candidate should have a high level of personal drive and ambition. You will report to the company’s VP of Engineering. Requirements

• Software engineer with a computer science degree that understands both software and software architecture of large complicated distributed systems
• Advantage: Deep understanding of database technologies, architectures
• Advantage: Understand application development
• Advantage: DBA of relational systems. Additional NoSQL experience is a further advantage
• Advantage: Background in systems, e.g. storage, networking, etc
• Must be well-organized, systematic, detailed-orientated, logic, creative
• Is both analytical and an executor, works in an orderly manner
• Is fluent in English, both written and spoken
