Backend Software Engineer (Mobile Gaming)

A cutting-edge startup in the mobile gaming industry is seeking a highly motivated and skilled backend software engineer to join our team. Our goal is to revolutionize game creation by developing an innovative platform for game development directly on mobile devices.

As a backend software engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side components of our platform, mainly using the programming languages Typescript and Go. You will work closely with our team of designers, developers, and QA to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for players, all while efficiently utilizing cloud-based technologies.

While the primary focus of this role is on backend development, the ideal candidate will also have experience with game development and a strong background in gaming. Knowledge and experience with relevant cloud tools such as Kubernetes and AWS is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side components using Typescript and Go in a cloud environment
• Work with our team to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for players
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Troubleshoot and debug any issues that arise during development

Requirements

• Strong experience with backend development using Typescript/Go
• Experience with high scalability client/server systems
• Strong understanding of mobile applications design principles
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred:

• Experience working with cloud-based technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, AWS)
• Experience working in a start-up or small company environment
• Experience in mobile game development
• Strong background in gaming
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
