Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative team leader with a proven track record—someone who is creative, self-motivated, diligent, and open-minded—to join and lead our Research & Development (R&D) teams.
H2Pro develops cutting-edge chemical/electrochemical hybrid systems to advance our novel hydrogen generation technology. In this role, you will lead a research team focused on electrode development, including our unique nickel hydroxide and bifunctional electrodes. Your responsibilities will include conducting literature reviews, planning a technological roadmap to address key challenges, making strategic priority decisions, mentoring team members, and driving your team toward successful, impactful results in company projects and scientific initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a research team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop and oversee the technological roadmap, addressing key challenges and setting priorities.
- Drive research and development efforts in electrode technology, focusing on nickel hydroxide and bifunctional electrodes.
- Conduct literature reviews, stay updated on industry trends, and integrate cutting-edge research into company projects.
- Plan, execute, and analyze experiments, ensuring high-quality scientific research and development.
- Utilize advanced electrochemical, microstructural, and chemical characterization techniques to validate findings.
- Make data-driven decisions, interpret results, and draw meaningful scientific conclusions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, materials science, and product development.
- Balance short-term project goals with long-term innovation and technological advancements.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience in research and development, managing teams of 4-5 researchers.
- 3-5 years of industry or postdoctoral experience in R&D roles.
- Expertise in electrochemical systems, including batteries, electrolyzers, flow cells, or fuel cells (strong advantage).
- Hands-on experience with characterization techniques such as SEM, XRD, TEM, XPS, etc.
- Experience in nickel hydroxide research (advantage).
- Background in catalysis (advantage).
- Strong ability to analyze data, optimize processes, and make informed decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and adaptability in a dynamic research environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced setting.
